HAT FITZ & CARA ARE BACK FOR #AGNESBLUESFEST 2021
High-energy duo Hat Fitz & Cara, among Australia’s most talented roots music artists, will be bringing their high energy and soulful tunes back to the #AgnesBluesFest Marquee Stage in Feb 2021.
The husband and wife team have clocked up over a decade of worldwide touring, Festival performances and album releases from their base in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and are showing no signs of slowing down.
The couple grew up on opposite sides of the world, with Fitzy falling into the music scene through travelling and performing with his father’s band around Western QLD in the ‘80s. His love of roots and blues has stood the test of time as he continues to hold the record for the most consecutive shows played at Bluesfest Byron Bay.
Meanwhile on the other side of the world in Northern Ireland, Cara grew up in a commune, only delving into the music scene in school. She discovered her love of soul and subsequently toured with artists such as Jamiroquai and Corinne Bailey-Rae.
Combining their diverse cultural backgrounds and their multi-instrumental talents, this dynamic power force will showcase Fitzy’s weathered vocals and soaring, blues-soaked guitar with Cara’s pounding drums and soulful, addictive voice to perform what they call Convict Blues, at the peak of their creative power.
