HAYLEY MARSTEN TO SPARKLE AND SASS AT #AGNESBLUESFEST 2021
Currently based in Brisbane, Gladstone’s own Hayley Marsten is coming home in February to perform with her full band for the first time on the #AgnesBluesFest Marquee Stage.
Equal parts sass and sincerity, Hayley wears her heart on her rhinestone-studded sleeve.
Hayley began building appreciative audiences with her first two EP releases Even and Lonestar. Lonestar debuted at #8 on the ARIA country charts and #1 on the Australian Independent Labels Chart. The very personal single ‘Coming Home’ reached #1 on the KIX Country Charts.
Hayley’s crowdfunded debut album, Spectacular Heartbreak was recorded with renowned producer Matt Fell at his Love Hz studio in Sydney and released in 2019. Co-written with luminaries such as Lyn Bowtell, Imogen Clark and Melody Moko, Spectacular Heartbreak has since been streamed almost half a million times, nominated for Alt Country Album of the Year at the 2020 Golden Guitars and Country Work of the Year at the QMAs. ‘Wendy’, the first single from her debut record, made a splash on country radio and received national airplay plus a big endorsement from Myf Warhust.
Hayley has shared stages and wowed crowds for artists such as Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway, Imogen Clark, Fanny Lumsden and Brad Butcher. She has also toured the East Coast co-headlining with Arna Georgia, covering four states and three sold out shows.
