The Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is held annually across one weekend in February in the stunning destination of Agnes Water and 1770 on the sensational Southern Great Barrier Reef.
Live music, licensed bar, a variety of food vendors and markets to suit all tastes, plus an intimate vibe, are highlight features of this all-weather event, with plenty of undercover space to chill out or dance your socks off. Shuttle Bus service at a minimal cost is available across the entire Festival between a range of accommodation points to maximise your #AgnesBluesFest experience.
17-19 February 2023 will see the 8th Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival rocking out, organised by Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc (DCTC), after the 2022 festival cancellation; however, the 2023 Festival will in actual fact be the 15th of its kind, having been organised previously by the Gladstone Entertainment Centre (under Gladstone Regional Council) from 2008-2014.
Brought to life and power-housed each year behind the scenes and front of house by a dedicated and passionate team of volunteers from across a vibrant local community, the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival experience is unforgettably intimate, while showcasing high calibre performers in a beautiful coastal destination. One very special opportunity to discover new music, rock out to Festival favourites and get up close and personal learning new skills in one of the unique and inspiring Performer-led Festival workshops.
Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival organiser DCTC is the Local Tourism Organisation, and became an Incorporated body in 2000. Over the years, DCTC has a proud record of achievement through instigation and delivery of events, for the purpose of supporting and benefiting the local community and its businesses.
The Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is supported by Gladstone Regional Council and by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the ‘It’s Live! In Queensland’ events calendar.
