Tom Harrison is getting ready to make his Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival debut in February, getting up close and personal on the Discovery Stage for the first time to connect with a more chill-vibe, intimate audience at the signature live music event.
Tom Harrison‘s music is a rich tapestry woven from diverse roots influences. While blues sits at the heart of his sound, it’s just the beginning. His gravelly voice carries echoes of mountain blues, boot stomping country, early rock ‘n’ roll, and heartfelt gospel. What sets Tom apart is his ability to blend these styles so naturally, creating something both familiar and fresh.
Harrison‘s debut solo EP, ‘Old Growth’, arrived in 2024 and quickly made waves. His bluesy single ‘Miles Away’ surged past 100,000 streams, while ‘Start Again’ earned heavy rotation on ABC Radio and was featured in Rhythm magazine’s prestigious Nashville sampler pack. The song’s music video also found success, frequently airing on CMT (Country Music Channel) in America and climbing to #53 in 4ZZZ’s Hot 100. In 2023, Harrison‘s songwriting talent was recognized with a nomination for Listen Up’s Songwriter of the Year award.
With performances at numerous festivals like Byron Bay Blues Fest under his belt, Harrison continues to captivate audiences with his soulful, genre-blending sound. 2025 saw new music releases from his upcoming debut album ‘Blood On The Moon’. The first single ‘Peace With Me’ is a big shift from the tender folk sounds of ‘Old Growth’ and into a heavier blues rock sound, which Harrison has been planning for a long time. It’s a blues rock confessional—raw, emotional, and steeped in soul. With stripped-back production and aching vocals, it delivers a modern take on classic blues grit.
‘I’ve always wanted to make a blues rock record. In past bands, there’s always been a few blues songs but I had more than enough material this time to make an upbeat blues-rock record with a few folk songs to even things out,’ says Harrison.
