Joyful up-tempo triple-force The Justus Trio are set to shine bright when they light up the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival main Marquee Stage next February, joining a sizzling summer line-up headlined by Antipodean legends Dragon.
Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, The Justus Trio will be bringing their tight hybrid of introspective folk and up-tempo indie-rock, strong harmonies, hooky-choruses and a racing rhythm section to #AgnesBluesFest for the very first time in 2026.
The Justus Trio joyfully marries singer John Justus’ hopeful songwriting with an explosive alt-rock rhythm section, bringing a fresh face to the world of indie rock and roll. Their unique style of Indie, Alternative, and Folk-Rock has been likened by fans to The Killers, Jimmy Eat World, Relient K and Switchfoot.
In just over 18 months, The Justus Trio have racked up 20,000+ streams across various platforms, produced three high-quality music videos, and have engaged audiences from Melbourne and SE Queensland, all the way to Milwaukee and Green Bay Wisconsin, USA.
The stage is where The Justus Trio truly shine, creating the sound and audience engagement expected of a much larger band. They have shared the stage with Dellacoma, Boom Crash Opera and Australian Idol Winner Marshall Hamburger.
The Justus Trio also placed in the semi-finals for the 2024 Airlie Beach Festival of Music competition. Their songs have been played on the radio in VIC, QLD (incl. 91HotFM), and Mexico. Fully independent, John, Bailey, and Caleb have self-produced a 6 song EP (Self-Titled) and 4 singles, and are managed by Hallowtribe Records worldwide.
