Purveyors of fast cars, dive bars, and guitars,Shotgun Sam and his World Famous Blues Band are getting ready to turn up the heat on the Marquee Stage for the very first time at the Agnes Water Blues Roots and Rock Festival next February.
Led by the gritty vocals and fiery guitar work of Shotgun Sam himself, the band features blues harp prodigy Johnny Harpo, thumping bassist Ramblin’ Ryan, and the hard-hitting sultan of skins, Danny Sharkz. Together, these guys deliver a sonic experience that channels the raw energy of Howlin’ Wolf, the swagger of Jerry Lee Lewis, and the soul of Little Walter.
2025 marked a breakout year for Shotgun Sam and his World Famous Blues Band, solidifying their reputation as one of Australia’s most electrifying live acts. Known for their high-octane blend of blues, rock’n’roll, and rockabilly, this band has taken their signature sound to some of the country’s most iconic stages.
Shotgun Sam and his World Famous Blues Band also released their debut self-titled EP in 2025, which charted on the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Charts. Having already set live music stages alight at Byron Bay Bluesfest, Redland Coast Blues Festival, Blues in Bruthen, Mudgeeraba Blues Rock Festival and Mitchell Creek Rock ‘n’ Blues Fest, they can’t wait to do the same for the very first time at #AgnesBluesFest.
