Authentic blues performer Mark Porter will be returning to the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival in just a few weeks’ time, performing his raw, rich and real music on the up close and personal Discovery Stage.
Mark Porter is a third-generation musician, influenced by the early music that came out of America’s Deep South. Powered by rich vocals, acoustic and dobro slide guitars, his renditions are raw and heartfelt.
Mark delivers the classic blues sounds of New Orleans, Chicago and Memphis in combination with earthy blues originals and folk overtones. His impressive, entertaining presence on stage is immersive, but never overstated.
Mark has performed at numerous festivals including Gympie Music Muster, Agnes Water Blues, Roots & Rock Festival, Rotorua Blues Festival NZ, Festival of King Island (Tasmania), the Airlie Beach Festival of Music and Cooktown Discovery Festival.
Following the success of his second album ‘Porter Bros Blues’ which reached number 13 in the ABARAC charts, Mark released his third Album in 2020 to showcase his original acoustic blues music, blended with some folk influences making up a tasty brew.
2018 into 2025 has seen this rambling troubadour touring continuously throughout Queensland, with a highly being a recent successful appearance in the famous Blues Marquee at the Gympie Music Muster.
