As well as rocking the Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Festival main Marquee Stage in February 2026 with Olivia Ruth, two of the multi-talented band members will also be making their debut together as an acoustic duo on the more intimate, chill-vibe Discovery Stage.
LiNi is a collaborative duo featuring Olivia Jeffery (better known as Liv) and Nick Lythall from the electrifying band Olivia Ruth.
Olivia grew up writing and performing folk music alongside her mum and three siblings. Breaking out on her own in her early teens under the stage name Olivia Ruth, she developed a distinctive vocal style—experimenting fearlessly through her love of rock and roll. Over time, she has refined her sound, weaving together elements of blues, soul, and funk while staying true to her folk roots. Her band has toured extensively across Australia, England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
After completing his Bachelor of Music, Nick performed with numerous acclaimed acts including The Iron Eye, The Captain’s Daughters, O’ Little Sister, Elko Fields, Brother Fox, and Dan Cox (The Filthy Animals), sharing stages with the likes of Grinspoon, The Living End, Butterfingers, Shihad (NZ), Sisters of Mercy (UK), DZ Deathrays, and more. A sought-after music producer and sound engineer, Nick is also a passionate guitarist and talented vocalist. Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Fleetwood Mac and Dua Lipa, he brings both taste and intensity to every performance.
Combining their eclectic influences, Liv and Nick have created a duo unlike any other. LiNi’s sound blends roots-driven grooves with soulful vocals, intricate guitar work, and rich harmonies. Their debut performance will take place at the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival 2026, where they’ll close the Discovery Stage for the day on Saturday night, 21 February 2026. LiNi will make their debut as a duo from 6.45-8.00pm on Saturday 21 February 2026. This will be a unique, very special performance that you’ll long remember.
Designed to complement the Marquee Stage program within the vibrant Festival precinct at the 1770 SES Grounds and about to celebrate its sixth year, the Discovery Stage encompasses the blues, roots and rock genres within a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; getting up close and personal and showcasing original music performed by an eclectic range of entertaining regional artists from Central Queensland and beyond.
