Do blondes really have more fun? #AgnesBluesFest can’t wait to welcome Sugarbag Blonde to their Marquee Stage in February 2024 and find out for sure!
Sugarbag Blonde hail from the beautiful beaches of Australia’s Sunshine Coast. For their self-titled debut album, the band approached Grammy Award winning producer Neil Dorfsman (Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Paul McCartney, Bjork) to consult on the development of the band’s songs and sound. This turned out to be a near two-year project of revisions and late-night Skype sessions with the New York based engineer.
Supporting Australian music luminaries like Thirsty Merc, Russell Morris and celebrated blues rock organ player Lachy Doley, Sugarbag Blonde are carving a name for themselves in rock and blues rock circles, with their unique breed of original music and finely crafted songs.
Most recently, the band kicked off a new ‘Live in Store’ series of shows from Australia’s premier music store Mooloolaba Music. To coincide, the band have produced a brand new two-part live album, recorded as part of the series. They are currently distributed world-wide by MGM Distribution
