The Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival isn’t taking a foot off the good vibes pedal anytime soon, confirming their next exciting artist for the up close and personal Discovery Stage which will complement the main Marquee Stage from 19 – 21 February 2027 at the SES Grounds, Town of 1770.
Among almost 20 artists to share their captivating music with the Discovery Stage audience in February 2027 will be Georgia Scarlett, a Magandjin (Brisbane) based rising star artist in the Australian music scene.
Georgia Scarlett creates intimate spaces for listeners to immerse in storytelling through her ethereal voice and unique musical tapestry. Behind her Aussie roots, Georgia blends her many musical influences such as the addictive American folk banjo, earthy country harmonica, Irish waltz feel, Celtic vocal magic, catchy pop hooks, and indie-rock stage presence. As described by Keith Urban, Georgia is in “a lane of her own.”
Since winning the Griffith University EDGE competition at just 14 years old, Georgia has performed at some of Australia’s most iconic venues, including The Old Museum and Crowbar in Brisbane, The Gov in Adelaide, among many others. At 18, she wrote her debut album ‘Rhythm of Life’, which was recorded across Australia at Forbes Street Studios in Sydney (Universal Music), Out With The In (Melbourne), and 4000 Studios (Brisbane).
2026 has already been a standout year for Georgia. She toured her album across Australia, featured on ABC Country programs, and climbed to #4 on the AMRAP Country, Blues & Roots Charts. Along the way, she won the inaugural Brisbane Honky Tonk Throw Down Battle of the Bands, was selected as a finalist in the 2026 QUBE Effect Program, the Listen Up Songwriting Prize, and the Gympie Muster Mothertone Talent Search, while being hailed by The Courier-Mail as a “rising star in country music circles”.
Praised for her “flawless storytelling” by Triple J, Georgia continues to carve out a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
