Rising artist Olive Mae is getting ready to represent the roots genre and entertain for the first time on the #AgnesBluesFest Discovery Stage in 2024.
Olive Mae is a folk/country singer songwriter from a small town in the southwest of WA. She taught herself guitar at age 18 after being inspired by artists such as Frente, Paul Kelly, The Waifs and Missy Higgins.
Off the back of a 2023 WAM Country Song of the Year nomination, Olive Mae is currently making the most of a massive east coast road trip with her family and has gigs booked in every state.
2024 is set to be even busier, with performances scheduled at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and #AgnesBluesFest, as well the planned release of her debut EP.

Designed to complement the Marquee Stage program within the vibrant Festival precinct at the 1770 SES Grounds and now in its fourth year, the Discovery Stage encompasses the blues, roots and rock genres within a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; getting up close and personal and showcasing original music performed by an eclectic range of entertaining regional artists from Central Queensland and beyond.
