FLYING HIGH: DIDGERIBLUES WITH CRAIG ATKINS AT #AGNESBLUESFEST 2026

After a stellar debut performance on the Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Festival Discovery Stage in 2024, Craig Atkins is getting ready to fly up on the main Marquee Stage in February 2026 with his unique blend of earthy acoustic Roots, Blues & Folk sounds.

An award-winning roots, blues and folk multi-instrumentalist, Craig Atkins is a ‘one-man band’ songwriter and performer based in Adelaide (Kuarna Country). He regularly tours the country with a set-up consisting of various acoustic and cigar box guitars, lap slide, didgeridoos, harmonica and foot percussion.

Influenced by Paul Kelly, Joe Purdy, Harry Manx, Xavier Rudd and numerous other blues masters, Craig’s live performances weave through various styles from chilled finger-picking, folk and alt-country stories, to delta slide blues, rollicking folk foot-tappers, stomp-jumping roots and “Didgeriblues”.

Craig’s lyrical content explores aspects of life, love, loss and observations of the world we all live in. He has performed solo and with various other musical projects at Nannup Music Festival (WA), Tamworth Country Music Festival (NSW), Ayers Rock Resort Residency (NT), Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival (VIC), Nimbin Roots Festival (NSW), Ocean Street World Festival (QLD), Byron Bay Guitar Festival (NSW), Peats Ridge Festival (NSW), Port Fairy Festival (VIC), Caloundra Music Festival (QLD), Wide Open Space Festival (NT) and Gorgeous Festival (SA). Craig has also supported Steve Kilbey (The Church) and Donovan Frankenreiter (USA), to name a few. He has also performed overseas at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee (USA).

This passionate, honest musician achieved Adelaide Roots & Blues Association’s ‘Best Solo Roots’ award and his album “Fall or Fly” was a finalist for both the Australian Roots Awards and the Adelaide Roots & Blues Association’s ‘Best Roots Album’. Craig’s much anticipated latest EP ‘A New Horizon’, was released earlier this year.

Don’t miss the warm, graceful and incredibly beautiful performer Craig Atkins flying high on the #AgnesBluesFest Marquee Stage in February 2026. Playing with grit and passion, he’ll take you on a captivating journey through rootsy, bluesy storytelling that is a true gift to humanity.
