Abi Muir 2023

Get ready for goosebumps with Abi Muir on the #AgnesBluesFest Discovery Stage in 2024.

North Queensland-based Abi Muir is a singer songwriter with distinctive vocals and heartfelt lyrics, reminiscent of a meld of Ariana Grande and Hayley Williams.

Abi’s love of writing and reading fantasy fiction has shaped her creative lyricism which she delivers with powerful, goosebump-inducing vocals. She entices audiences to journey through the wistful, dreaminess of her debut single ‘heebiejeebies’ to her powerful, darkly moving award-winning rock track ‘Stockholm’ .

An intoxicating maelstrom of competing emotions were delivered in Abi’s debut EP ‘To You’ which delved deeply into the many facets of love; a cleverly written story of falling in love, losing yourself over love and being trapped by love, an emotional rollercoaster of lyrics with musical richness and drama.

Abi has been a Queensland Music Award Finalist for 2 consecutive years, is an International Unsigned Only winner (music video), a John Lennon Award winner, a John Lennon songwriting contest Grand Prize winner, a Regional Arts Development Fund major round grant recipient and the Cairns Regional Council Junior Cultural Award Winner.

Abi’s performance highlights include opening for Dami Im at Cairns Performing Arts Centre, performing on the main stage at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music as the Cairns winner of the Passport to Airlie Beach, co-headlining at The Tanks Arts Centre, performing at the World-renowned Exit/Inn Nashville as a Finalist in the Road to Nashville, and being a featured and solo vocalist at Creative Generation State Schools on Stage.

Abi holds the Cancer Council Queensland close to her heart and has voluntarily performed at the Barlow Park Relay for Life for the last 3 consecutive years. She has amassed a dedicated following on her socials, proving to be inspirational to other young and emerging performing artists locally and internationally, encouraging others to chase their dreams. Her debut album is currently underway and will showcase fresh pop/RnB songs from the heart.
