Agnes Water Blues Roots and Rock Festival is incredibly excited to announce Chris Jagger as a highlight international artist at their stellar live music event next February. As well as performing on Saturday 20 February 2027 to kick off his Australian tour, Chris will also host an up close and personal session on the Sunday to showcase his memoir, sharing fascinating anecdotes and memories from a lifetime in music that includes connections with his brother Mick Jagger, David Gilmour and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few.
Chris Jagger is an acclaimed English singer-songwriter, musician, author, and broadcaster whose career has spanned more than five decades. While widely recognised as the younger brother of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Chris has forged a distinctive and respected artistic path of his own, blending blues, folk, country, Cajun, zydeco, roots, and world music influences into a unique and enduring body of work.
Born in Dartford, Kent, England, Chris developed a lifelong passion for music, storytelling, and travel. Throughout his career he has released more than a dozen albums, both as a solo artist and with his band Atcha, earning praise for his authentic songwriting, engaging live performances, and eclectic musical style. His recordings have featured collaborations with a range of distinguished musicians, including Mick Jagger, David Gilmour, Charlie Hart, and members of the Rolling Stones touring band.
Beyond music, Chris has enjoyed a diverse creative career as an actor, journalist, broadcaster, and documentary producer. He has written for major publications, produced music documentaries, and appeared in theatre and film productions throughout the UK and abroad.
In 2021, Chris published his acclaimed memoir, Talking To Myself, a candid, humorous, and insightful account of growing up in the Jagger family, his travels across the world, and his lifelong adventures in music and the arts. The book offers a unique perspective on post-war Britain, the emergence of the Rolling Stones, and Chris’s own remarkable journey as an artist.
A passionate live performer, Chriscontinues to tour internationally, captivating audiences with his warm stage presence, rich storytelling, and masterful musicianship. His performances showcase a lifetime of musical experiences, from English folk and Delta blues to Cajun rhythms and roots rock, delivered with authenticity, humour, and heart.
Today, Chris divides his time between recording, writing, touring, and supporting charitable initiatives, including his role as Ambassador for the Chris Jagger Foundation, which promotes groundbreaking neuroscience research through the power of sound and music.
