Among almost 20 artists getting ready to light up the vibrant, intimate Discovery Stage in February 2027 will be BANKSYA, a mesmerising Sunshine Coast-based indie folk duo blending the multi-talents of Laura McKitrick and Declan McAllister.
Created with love and dedicated to a dream, BANKSYA’s gorgeous, harmony-rich music is inspired by the likes of Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers. Writing from the beauty and rawness of the human experience, every unforgettable BANKSYA performance has something for everyone.
BANKSYArecently released their latest single ‘I Hope You Find Peace’ on a variety of digital platforms and the official video up on their Youtube channel was filmed in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Be drawn in by the spellbinding magic of BANKSYA as they make their Discovery Stage debut from 5.15-6.00pm on Friday 19 February 2027. Your eyes and ears will dance with delight to their gorgeous harmonies and captivating music, with an up close and personal set that you simply won’t want to miss.
Designed to complement the Marquee Stage program within the vibrant Festival precinct at the 1770 SES Grounds and about to celebrate its seventh year, the Discovery Stage encompasses the blues, roots and rock genres within a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; getting up close and personal and showcasing original music performed by an eclectic range of entertaining regional artists from Central Queensland and beyond.
