Mark Porter will be bringing his earthy style of blues back to #AgnesBluesFest in 2023.
Mark is a third-generation musician influenced by the early music out of America’s Deep South. His renditions are raw as the early blues roots of those times, delivered with powerful vocals, acoustic and dobro slide guitars backed by a stomp box.
Classic blues stylings of New Orleans, Chicago and Memphis, from Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters to Stevie Ray Vaughn, combine with earthy folk/blues originals delivered with an impressive presence that’s never overstated and thoroughly entertaining.
Mark has performed at numerous Festivals including the Gympie Music Muster, Agnes Water Blues Roots & Rock Festival 2017 and 2021, the Rotorua Blues Festival in New Zealand, the Festival of King Island in Tasmania and this year’s Airlie Beach Festival of Music.
Following the success of his second album ‘Porter Bros Blues’ which reached Number 13 in the ABARAC charts, Mark released his third album in 2020.
2018 through 2022 has seen this seasoned troubadour continue to tour throughout Queensland and he already has an Adelaide tour scheduled for early 2023.
