KATE MAHOOD TO CAPTIVATE AT #AGNESBLUESEST 2023

Following on from her captivating performance at #AgnesBluesFest in 2020, Central Queensland’s own

songbird Kate Mahood will be returning to light up the Discovery Stage again in 2023.

Blending folk stylings and country story-telling, Kate’s songs showcase her unique vocals and beautifully crafted guitar melodies. With heartfelt and often haunting lyrics, she portrays an honesty and vulnerability in her songs that resonate deeply with her listeners.

Since graduating from the Tamworth Academy of Country Music in 2017, Kate has gone from strength to strength; sharing stages with the likes of Sara Storer, Harry Manx, Busby Marou, 8 Ball Aitken and The Whitlams, and performing at numerous events and festivals around Central Queensland. She recently opened a sold-out show for Alex Lloyd, Jeremy Marou and Brad Butcher at The Alley in Yeppoon.

Kate has also been announced as a mentee in the latest round of the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) Women in Music Mentorship Program.

Kate Mahood is currently based in Byfield and released her latest single ‘Silver and Gold’ in May this year.
