#AgnesBluesFest is delighted to be welcoming the solo talents of Joseph Brown for the first time as the opening Discovery Stage act in 2023.
Born in NZ, Wairoa, raised in Darwin NT and developed in Burleigh on the Gold Coast, Joseph Brown entered the music scene a decade ago by starting off busking cold streets to bring a warm vibe.
Joseph is a smooth as butter performer, carved by experience and coming alive through his music with a smile to keep the vibe high.
Originally influenced by the rhythm and flow of hip hop and eventually adopting Roots and Reggae, Joseph combines the two to create a unique take on music. Diversity is his motto, playing many versions of each song. He performs solo right through to a full band and rocks each and every incarnation.
Music is one of Joseph’s saviours and when he performs, an audience really feels it. He revels in sharing his personal experiences through his original music, pulling at the heartstrings to connect with a crowd and make unique magic happen.

Designed to complement the Marquee Stage program within the vibrant Festival precinct at the 1770 SES Grounds and now in its third year, the Discovery Stage encompasses the blues, roots and rock genres within a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; getting up close and personal and showcasing original music performed by an eclectic range of entertaining regional artists from Central Queensland and beyond.
