Beachside Hervey Bay family trio Harding’s House are getting ready to make their Discovery Stage debut at the Agnes Water Blues Roots & Rock Festival in February 2025, with heart-based original music overflowing with soul.
The Harding’s House style could best be described as indie folk/blues, but it’s best to expect the unexpected with these guys, as no two releases sound the same!
Siblings, Robbie Harding and Nicole Cornish (nee Harding) created the band during their formative teenage years. Coming from a musical family, they grew up learning covers of their favourite folk musicians such as Passenger and Angus & Julia Stone.
In 2017, Nicole met drummer-by-trade, Shane Cornish. The two were married and It was not long before Shane joined the Harding’s House project, infusing his unique style of percussion. This brought a new level of creativity and excitement to the group and influenced the writing style of their soulful original music.
Harding’s House produces music that is bold, refreshing, impactful and classy, featuring topics of love, loss, mental health, addiction and hope.
Their dedication and infectious stage-presence has landed them several noteworthy gigs and festival slots across the country, including Initiation Festival, Wallaby Creek Festival, Woodford Festival of Small Halls and Dragon Dreaming Festival. Harding’s House have performed alongside impressive local and international names like Bootleg Rascal, Blair Dunlop and more.
Wherever their musical journey takes them, they will always have an unbreakable love for their art, and each other, and in the beauty of this, they find inspiration.
Get ready for a warm and soulful welcome into Harding’s House, performing on the #AgnesBluesFest Discovery Stage at 1.45pm on Sunday 23 February 2025. In the words of Tommy Faith from Triple J Unearthed, their music is “simple, sentimental and moving, and the strength of the songwriting and beautiful movement of those voices will make you feel everything.”
