FRANKIE J HOLDEN (OAM) TO PERFORM AND MC AT #AGNESBLUESFEST 2023

Australian entertainment legend Frankie J Holden (OAM) has been confirmed as MC and will also perform a very special set on the #AgnesBluesFest main Marquee Stage in 2023.

As well as MC’ing the Marquee Stage at #AgnesBluesFest, Frankie J will be teaming up for a very special live performance with seasoned performer Ricki Wood from 10-10.45am on Sunday 19 February 2023. There are also whispers that some other special guests will join this powerhouse duo on stage at #AgnesBluesFest.

Born in 1952, the same year as the FJ Holden was first manufactured, Frankie J has become as much an icon as his automotive namesake through the course of his diverse career.

Frankie J. Holden began his showbusiness career with the legendary rock group OL’55 and has gone on to be recognised as one of our most versatile and popular performers.

Frankie J has created some of Australian televisions most memorable characters through leading roles in long-running serials Embassy, Police Rescue, Round The Twist, Something In the Air, Underbelly 1 and 6 and A Place To Call Home (for which he was awarded a Silve Logie in 2019).

Frankie J’s feature film work has also been recognized with two Best Actor Awards and two nominations for Best Supporting Actor from the Australian Film Institute. He is also a very experienced and successful television presenter. From 1993 to 1996, he was part of the team roaming the globe for the Channel Seven show The Great Outdoors. It was the making of this show that first brought him to Agnes Water 1770 in 1994. For three years from 1996 he also filmed the live variety programme In Melbourne Tonight with the Nine Network.

Frankie J has continued to perform as a rock and roll front man in gigs from clubs and pubs through to community festivals, theatres, corporate events and stadiums.

Frankie J was awarded an Order Of Australia (OAM) Medal in 2016 for services to the community and the arts and can often be found at his caravan park Tathra Beachside on the beautiful Sapphire Coast of NSW.

With 30+ years of performing, a huge repertoire and thousands of venues and events under his belt, Ricki Wood is a seasoned performer with a myriad of skills that are not to be missed in this very special performance at #AgnesBluesFest with the iconic Frankie J. Holden.
