FIRST NATIONS FUSION ARTIST ADRIAN THOMAS TO DEBUT AT #AGNESBLUESFEST IN 2023

Singer-songwriter, frontman, DJ and producer Adrian Thomas is an artist who transcends genre. His fusion of Island, Reggae, Dance/Pop, Hip Hop, R&B and Country is fresh, innovative and some of the hottest music coming out of Australia right now. #AgnesBluesFest is delighted to be welcoming Adrian’s talents for the very first time on the Discovery Stage in 2023.

Adrian captivates audiences with his storytelling and an acoustic guitar, bringing crowds to their feet with irresistible dance tracks and his energetic stage presence. With uplifting, lyrically driven songs, and
sweeping melodies, he inspires and opens the heartstrings; dishing out seductive poetry and stories of
unity.

Adrian’s latest single ‘Welcome to Country’ is a song close to his heart. A South Sea Islander with strong ties to Indigenous Australians, he has drawn upon his 10+ Years working with Indigenous children and communities to deliver a compelling account of Australian Human Rights inconsistencies and a heartfelt expression of change, unity and equality.

With a deep, powerful voice, clever wordplay and cutting-edge production, Adrian bridges First Nations
teachings with modern flavours, reconnecting the circle and lifting the soul.
Adrian’s passion for effecting change and innovation are front and centre in this latest track, which is the follow up to his previous releases ‘Sevenfold Peace’, ‘The Great Barrier Reef’ and ‘Kuku Yalanji Girl’.
‘Welcome to Country’ fuses Country, Rap and EDM with the traditional sounds of the didgeridoo, played on the track by David Hudson.

Adrian’s music has enjoyed great support from over 150 Radio stations around the USA, Australia, NZ and Hawaii including ABC, Double J, FBI and NITV and is also played regularly on Coles Supermarket rotation.

Adrian supported Dan Sultan and Missy Higgins in May this year and has built a solid foundation in
Australian music. He toured Hawaii in 2020, performing at more than ten different venues on three
different Islands (Oahu, Maui and Big Island).

Don’t miss Adrian Thomas on the #AgnesBluesFest Discovery Stage 7.15-8.00pm Friday 17 February 2023. https://adrianthomasmusic.com.au/
