Maynard Heap is a versatile singer-songwriter who shares his diverse range of songs on guitar and harmonica. #AgnesBluesFest is delighted to be welcoming his talents to the Discovery Stage in February 2023 and to the next Rhythms @ Rusty’s event at the 1770 Rusty Pelican on Saturday 17 December 2022.
Maynard’s distinctive, self-taught style has evolved with his teaching career and musical journey throughout Queensland. He has been performing at the Woodford Folk Festival with the Steven Hart Band since 2004. His solo works are insightful, often funny, uplifting, virtuous and inspiring.
With a repertoire covering elements of folk, country, blues, roots and rock, Maynard’s arpeggio-picked and strummed acoustic, electric and slide guitar provides a solid foundation for his resounding vocals, melodious harmonica and bluesy cross-harp to weave magic music spells.
Maynard released his twelve-song debut album, ‘Nurtured In The Wild’ on 24th May 2019.
