Getting to the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival Grounds

The Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is taking place at the 1770 SES Grounds, which are located between Agnes Water & the Town of 1770.

Parking:

  • Limited parking at the Festival
  • Additional parking at the 1770 Marina
  • Additional parking at the Agnes Water Visitor Information Centre (Springs Road)
  • We recommend you park at your accommodation location and jump on the shuttle bus.

Transport to the festival

  • Shuttle busses are available to festival goers (for a gold coin donation) and have different pick up points in both Agnes Water & 1770.
  • During peak times (4pm -6pm approximately) the shuttle busses will be running every 20-30 minutes. During off peak times please expect up to 40-1h wait.
  • The shuttle service is offered for a gold coin donation by 1770 Shuttle.

Getting to Agnes Water

Below are transport options to get you to the the festival in time for the big weekend!

Air

  • Bundaberg and Gladstone: Qantas fly direct to Bundaberg or Gladstone from all major cities. Agnes Water is approx. 1-1.5 hours drive.
  • Hervey Bay: Virgin Australia and Jetstar fly direct to Hervey Bay – Hervey Bay is only a 3 hours drive to Agnes Water/1770.
  • Rockhampton: Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar all fly direct to Rockhampton – Rockhampton is only 3 hours drive to Agnes Water/1770.

Bus

  • Daily services are operated by Greyhound from all major cities. Contact Greyhound on 1300 472 946 or visit www.greyhound.com.au for timetables and further information.

Train

  • Queensland Rail Travel operate to Miriam Vale with coach connections with Agnes Water/1770 to the Town of 1770 – Agnes Water. Contact Queensland rail Travel on 1800 872 467 for timetables, tickets and further information.

Car

Travel times to Agnes Water (by car), depending on traffic:
  • From the South Traveling on the Bruce highway from Brisbane. Head to Miriam Vale and turn right to exit the Bruce Highway at Miriam Vale. Agnes Water is a 40 min drive on a sealaed road.
  • From the North Traveling on the Bruce Highway, turn left at Miriam Vale (just south of Gladstone) and then follow the signs to the Town of 1770 and Agnes Water.

The Visitors Centre is located at 71 Springs Road (in the same building as the Library & RTC) in Agnes Water. The centre offers free Wifi.

  • Monday – Friday: 0900 to 1700;
  • Saturday 1000 to 1600,
  • Sunday and public holidays – 1000 – 1400 Public Holidays: Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.
