THE URBAN CHIEFS, one of the hardest working two-piece roots rock bands in OZ will join the star studded line up at the 2016 Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival set to rock the 3 day weekend of 19 – 21 February 2016.

The Urban Chiefs recorded their third studio album atA�Damien Gerard Studios BalmainA�at the end of 2013. Returning to work with industry veteran engineer / producer Russel Pilling (The Church, Hoodoo Gurus, The Vines) for a second time, Blake and Glendon have established their identity and found their voice, with this new record, a�?Rise Abovea��. This is a musiciana��s album and the musicians are technicians and craftsman with their instruments. The first single a�?The Gamea�� was released digitally through MGM Distribution. a�?Rise Abovea�� was released at the Adelaide Fringe in February 2014.
No strangers to region, THE URBAN CHIEFS were a part of 2014 Agnes Blues Roots and Rock Festival and are back once again after playing at various festivals around the country including the Adelaide Fringe Festival (2013/2014), Sydney Blues n Roots Festival (2011-2014) and Tamworth Music Festival (2010-2014) to name a few.
