The iconic Choirboys will excite the masses as headline act at the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival in February. Organisers are excited to secure these real Aussie rock legends to be on stage in Agnes Water.
Choirboys have been entertaining the young and old for over 30 years and are now an essential part of the Australian music culture. With their unofficial anthems ‘Run To Paradise’, multi-platinum albums and great rock hits such as ‘Boys Will Be Boys’, ‘Struggle Town’ and ‘Never Gonna Die’, the Choirboys stand for the Australian pub-culture and are viewed by many as the ultimate Australian rock band.
The Festival stage will welcome Choirboys after 9pm on Saturday 18 February 2017. The gates to the 3 day Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival 2017 open on Friday, 17th February from 3pm, shows start from 4pm and the event goes through until 4pm Sunday 19 February.
Food stalls, artist merchandise and some market stalls are available at the licensed event. Two artist workshops will also be included in Program and shuttle buses to the venue are available to festival goers for a gold coin donation during the 3 days Friday 17, Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 February 2017, with several pick up points around the Agnes Water & 1770 area.
3 day Early Bird tickets are on sale now and until 31 December for $121 per person. Single day tickets and other types will be on sale from January 1st, 2017.
The Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is held annually in February, encouraging blues and roots fanatics to travel to Agnes Water / Town of 1770 (Seventeen Seventy) and immerse themselves in the tunes and the delights of the destination. The festival is a major regional event to help the local economy, and we urge the entire community to get behind the event, the promotion of it and to all have a truly fun festival.
Event organisers, Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc (DCTC) are a non profit, local business organisation, established in 2001 to promote and develop tourism and economic activity for Discovery Coast businesses to grow and prosper.
DCTC took on the role of organising the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival at the end of 2014 from previous the organisers, Gladstone Regional Council. The previous Festivals presented by DCTC were very successful events with popular acts like Russell Morris, Kevin Borich, 8 Ball Aitken, The Mason Rack Band, Urban Chiefs, The Hillbilly Goats and many other great artists.
Children are welcome to attend the event and if they’re under the age of 14 are admitted free. As it’s a licensed event, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
